enter section of Capitola Ave and Bay Ave is Gayle's Bakery & Rotisserie. Known for some
of the finest food to be found anywhere in California! You are sure to find
something very yummy from among their amazing array of breakfast
options and freshly baked goods! You'll need to take
a ticket and wait your turn. Eat in or
outside on the patio.
p.s. While you're there pick up a loaf of one of their many kinds of freshly baked breads,
a bottle of good local wine and perhaps an entire for dinner at home?

Zeldas on the Beach
Located a short stroll from your apartment at Capitola Suites, along the Esplanade,
about 3 blocks away. The setting at Zelda's is the main attraction here. It is
pretty "funky", and a bit on the shabby side inside. However their Huevos
Rancheros is a pretty good bet, and sitting on the patio overlooking
the beach enhances the taste buds and your morning spirit! The
food is not the main attraction here, it is the view!
It is also a great place to people watch.

The best pizza in Santa Cruz County (not only our opinion, its the winner of many awards!).
In a little 'hole in the wall' place on the Esplanade (No seating available). You can
order pizza by the slice and eat it on a bench along the Esplanade, or take a
pie home. It is not necessary to have it delivered since you only have
to walk a few hundred yards from your apartment to fetch it.

Located on the Esplanade, upstairs and next to Margaritaville Bar 1 1/2 blocks from
. A good place to go in the evening if you're not interested in the Bar scene.
There is a decent piano so it attracts good local talent on occasion.
